May 29 - Nisswa Pioneer Village Opens
Step back in time as you enjoy the Nisswa
Historical Society's Pioneer Village. Set in
late 1800's and early 1900's the train
depot, bank, livery museum and even a one
room school are here to tour and enjoy. |

June 9-August 11 - Nisswa Turtle
Races
A Nisswa tradition for almost 50 years the
turtle races are fun for all. Rent a turtle
to race or bring your own. The turtles are
placed in the center of a large ring and let
loose to run to the outer edge. No rabbits
allowed! |

June 11-12 - Nisswa Stamman
Scandinavian Festival
Enjoy a celebration of
Scandinavian and Scandinavian/American folk
music. Listen to Swedish Folk music
performed by fiddlers, accordionists,
guitarists, and vocalists. Dancers. |

July 3 - Freedom Day Celebration and
Parade
Fun events, food and a small town parade
with clowns, marching bands, and fire trucks
along Nisswa's Main Street, will bring you
to a simpler time. Try your luck (or skill)
in the loon calling contest and enjoy
Nisswa's famous pork on a stick. |

A Pequot Lakes tradition, Bean Hole Days
celebrates good food and good fun. Enjoy
beans slow cooked underground in a kettle
for a day. A craft fair adds to this
community celebration. |

Festival
This event includes art, music and food!
Over 100 artists and crafters gather to
display and sell their art and handy works.
Wood, metal, and paint are among the media
used to create artworks and jewelry. Food

Nisswa's 37th annual Fall Festival events
include an Art and Craft show, music and
even horse drawn wagon rides. Come for the
fun but stay for the food! With 1000 pounds
of ribs nobody leaves hungry.
